Vitamin D3

Hi all, 2 week old baby and we were told to give him Vitamin D3 drops. Does anyone else give these to their baby and what dose do you give you child? On the bottle its 5 drops for 100% daily dose but the Aptamil also has D3 in it and would also provide 100% of the required D3. Anyone any ideas or doing the same thing?
