Right Folks, just got this installed today and I have a question With my laptop wirelessly im only getting on average 16 - 17 mb, when I connect my laptop direclty to the router the max I have been getting is 78 - 80mb. Is this normal? Should it be faster?

78% - 80% of rated max is not bad.

As far as wireless is concerned the quality of the wireless adapter, the distance from the router and the amount of RF interference will affect the quality and usually results in a significant percentage degradation.

will a wireless n adaptor in my laptop make much of a difference, Im getting these speeds literally a couple of feet from the router in the same room.
