Does anyone know of a swimming pool in Galway that one could book? Or even half a pool?
Looking to organise underwater chess for the end of September, but having difficulty finding a pool...

Have you tried Kilcornan? Owned by Brothers of Charity..they used to rent it out to different groups in the past but health and safety might be an issue you'd come across...

What half of the pool? The top of the bottom? :P

Is if for charity? I mean the underwater chess.

Years ago friends did ab underwater film shoot (in the States, not here). They had haasle finding anywhere for H and S reasons, but what they did to resolve it was hire a trained lifeguard for the shoot, and then the pool managers were fine with it.

    Looks like we're sorted.
Galway Bay on the 28th September in the evening when their residents no longer need the pool. Excellent.

    Thanks for the replies, folks.
