I think it was the fact that Buffer started calling the name of the winner by going "Eeeeeeeeee" which could have sounded like either Yves or Ian. I thought it was Ian Loveland there for a second. I don't know how the hell he got 30-27 on one of the judges' scorecards.

UFC cards have been moved back 1 hour now so it suits the time differences better in the US. So where pre-lims used to start at 12 they now start at 11.

Main Card is on ESPN at 2PM.

He was in the US over the last couple of nights anyway coz he was on MMA Live.

Rumour was that the Cheif of Police in Rio threatened to arrest him at the Airport if he travelled. Dunno how true that was! There was also word that Okami's Brasilian sponsor threatened to drop him if Sonnen was in his corner.

Palhares was trying to pull a fast one (a la BJ Penn v Sean Sherk) there I think. There was no indication that the fight had been finished at all accept that Deam said "Fight back".

That was the funniest thing I've seen in an MMA fight before... I can understand it though, it did look like Herb Dean was stepping in, no indication of him stopping it though..
