ok so ive decided to go with Beyerdynamics DT 770 Pro headphones the 250 ohm set, but i need a portable headphone amp to go with it. I saw the FiiO E5 Headphone Amplifier on amazon for under $20 (about €15) Im willing to spend a decent bit more then this but considering i would have just spent €145 on headphones i dont want to go over the €200 euro mark. which PORTABLE headphone amps do you think would work really well with DT 770 Pro headphones and arent to expensive? Thanks (:

I own an e5 and I seriously doubt it will power a 250 ohm headphones like the beyerdynamic. You've opted for a set of desktop headphones that requires a lot of juice to power and very few portable amps can power it on a small budget. I'd do a lot of research and see what people have used with their beyerdynamics and see what they thought of them. Keep in mind there are about 2 or 3 different versions of your headphones and have different resistance, so do a lot of reading before you take the plunge on an amp.

If you want to see what other people rate then have a look here:

Keep in mind that each review is just an accumulation of opinions and you could have a different experience.

The reviewer uses a 300 ohm sennheiser 800 for some of the reviews so I'd guess that if an amp can power them it might be ok for your headphones.
