Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What do you think would be the best type of fencing for fields that stock cattle, sheep & horses..I recently seen the usual sheep wire with an electric fence in front of it,Seems fool proof

sheepwire with a strand of high tensile wire four to five inches above it and a strand of equine wire above that so the horses will be able to see the fence

3 foot sheep net, then a strand of 'leccy wire above it is what I'd look at. Problem with the cattle and horses is they tend to reach out over sheep wire and then bend it down, so you'll need to stop that happening. The one flaw I can think of is the sheep attempting to be show jumpers. Saying that, most of the blackfaced sheep I've ever kept don't tend to want to jump unless something is driving them, greener grass on t'other side, lamb gone through fence, something "urgent" like that (or they're just a pure rogue). Haven't had a jumper in a while actually, apart from one this year where the wire is slack (my fault).

Though, blue5000 pretty much hit the nail on the head :o Sheep wire ain't cheap :(
