    Hi All..

Well my other half who is 15 yrs working as a chef is now thinking about jumping the gun & is going to look at a restaurant to let today.

Now he is obviously v experienced in the Back of house & I would be experienced in the Front of house BUT as we have never ran our own restaurant before we need some advice from an experienced consultant on what the actual costs would be on running the business - licences , rates etc..

If anyone could point me in the right direction would really appreciate it.

I know of a consultancy firm called Catalyst who deal a lot with the Food/ hopsitalty sector. I haven't dealt with them in business so can't give a recommendation but they may be worth a shout?

No probs! Have meant Tara at a conference and she's really sound and very passionate, but as I said I never dealt with the company. Best of luck with it!

Contact Neil Cummins. There is not much he doesn't know about the hospitality sector, and he's a really nice guy. He knows everything about the cost side.

Make sure your staff wipe off crumbs and other food debris off the chairs. It would be a first! Many thanks and best wishes.
