    Was hoping to visit this lovely establishment this evening for a beverage but heard a rumour that it was closed.... any truth to this?

    It was open and serving lovely pints of Beamish yesterday. :D

    Heard nothing about it closing, although AGES back they closed to make repairs and refurbishments.
