My mother has very bad emphysema, she was told today by a specialist that she has the lungs of a 90 year old and she only turned 50 in march!!!

The doctors couldn't help her until she stopped smoking and in the past she was never able to for a long period of time but I showed her my ego-t, she got one and is off cigs over a month now.

She was also told today that if she stays off them for 6 months she can go on the transplant list!! This is great news as she cant walk for longer than 5 seconds without having to take a break.

I know its gonna be alot of hard work for her to go through yet but I just wanted to make this thread to say thanks to everyone who gave me advice on what to get because if it wasn't for the old ecig thread my mother wouldn't have had a hope.

That's pretty amazing in showing the life changing power of this technology.

Elevelyn, do you mind if I link to this post in my sig?

Hope it all goes well for her Elevelyn.

What did the specialist say when told she was using an E-cig, what was his opinion of them. Obviously good if gonna be put on the transplant list.

Thanks, not too sure what they thought as I couldn't talk to her for long about it but she said they were delighted with her and the fact that she wasn't smoking cigs (they even checked her fingers to see if they were brown!!) and told her to keep using it if it was helping

Ok so I asked her today what the docs said about her using the ecig - they just said it was brilliant and keep it up, they had no problems at all with it and were delighted she was using it
