Help PS3 has stopped working

Hi Guys, My nephew's PS3 has stopped working and his black ops is in it. The lights won't even switch on, we tried another cable and another socket it's still not working. Anyone have any suggestions:confused::confused:

Hi, mine died a few months back and got some good advice here.

When you press the power on button, do any lights appear on the front of the PS3? Are the lights green, yellow and/or red?

Are there any beeping noises?

Does it sound like the PS3 is powering on? Fan noise?
