It's obvious that Harry is trying to mould kranjcar into the new modric. It won't work. Modric will leave and we will get Parker and diarra in.

It had to happen. If it dosent then we will have a shocking season

With modric off the field the mood has improved already

If he's injured, he has to go off, and he's right to go off. Staying on will only make any injury worse. It's not like there's anything left in this game anyway.

I know, we can't be fans for only the good stuff, but it's embarrassing to put in such an inept performance at home, regardless of who we're playing against.

Redknapp can be so tactically naive its unbelievable. Why on earth would you start Mordic and Kranjcer in centre midfield. Surely Huddlestone or Livermore have to play? And as for that donkey Crouch .. he cant leave our club soon enough

True a shocking start, but not the easiest fixtures either. Add to this the uncertainty over modric and its a nightmare. Season has to get going against Wolves, by the time that comes round we will know where we stand squad wise and can hopefully get ponts on the board and go from there. By the way City look awesome and will give more than us a good beating this season.

The only thing that can brighten up this day is if United beat Arsenal by 6!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,946 ✭✭✭SuprSi

We've more or less started with the same team that has only won 3 of the last 15 PL games. 3 wins. In 15 games. That's absolutely shocking.

Well at least it can only get better (it certainly can't get much worse)

Before we all go calling for Harry's head lets put things into perspective:

    Man City:
    Dzeko £27m
    Aguero £38m
    Silva £24m
    Nasri £25m
    Balotelli £24m
    Tevez £47m

    Tottenham:
    Van Der Vaart £8m
    Adebayor (on loan)

Gotta hold your hands up when your played off the park lads.

Worryingly we are very poor defensively but no protection in midfield either.
    Bale very quiet so far.
Season starts at wolves with the new bodies involved.

Gotta take the good with the bad.

    COYS

i know this might sound like a knee jerk reaction but i think its time for harry to go. hes lost the team the players are no longer motivated. hes no idea what team to put out. i think its time to sell modric he obviously dosent want to be at spurs anymore. its early but i dont see this spurs team competing in the top six.

    For a fuller picture:
Harry Redknapp has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur could look to sign Edin Dzeko in January.
“If we could find the right player that would make the difference we would do it.

“The chairman is up for is up for it and he’s pushing me more than I’m pushing him. But it’s hard to find that person who you think would take you to the next level."They are talking about £35m for the boy Dzeko, but is he worth it? It would scare me spending that sort of money unless I was 100 per cent sure.”

And he didn't think Suarez would be a good signing.

Is it any wonder we can't sign players when the manager is that p1ss poor at reading a player's ability?

I believe Levy doesnt trust Harry with money for players.

If the chairman doesn't trust the manager, why is he still manager?!
