Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Saturday View RIP

    Its reported in today's Mail on Sunday that Saturday View is to be replaced with a new satirical type show presented by everybodys favourite globe trotter (as long as someone else foots the bill) Charlie Bird. Oliver Callen is also reported to be involved. Jesus H!

    This is yet another example of the dumbing down of radio 1. Saturday View was a lively enough political program, excellently anchored by Rachel English and previously by Rodney Rice.
    I for one will miss It.

    If true, that is a disaster. It was the only show of it's type on radio 1, that I know off anyway, and it's replacement with more of the lightweight Bird is a joke for sure. Public service broadcasting my arse!

    The only good that could come of this is returning Rachael English to Drivetime to replace Mary Wilson...

    Don't think she wants to go back to that gig. Its hard to believe Wilson is the best available to front an important show like that.

    sack marrion and give her that gig instead.

    it'd save us a fortune and give us a better show to boot. the punter wouldnt even figure it out for months considering her nibbs has been awol for ages now.

    Yeah, Rachael should be given the Saturday gig full time.. She was in poor health so it might suit her as well, rather than the full five day week...
