Christ! Although in a good way, at least Bolton St is proving popular for gigs. A good sign of getting people to come and play here.

I'm liking the direction Waterford is going in with regards to events. Brought the 8 yr old and two of her friends to Jedward for the Dunbrody Festival and they loved it, really good set up. If you are planning on going I'd advise you go early to get up the front as there will be a lot of kids on adults shoulders which doesn't make for great viewing especially for the little ones!

Would be very surprised if it was free, I'd imagine that as it's going to obviously aimed at kids I couldn't see them charging the same amount as what they are for this weekends gig.

Waterford is FINALLY getting some decent gigs/events. Jedward will pull in some crowd from outside Waterford, and there doing Big Brother (will probably win it) now also. Plus an upcoming TV show.

    Fair play.

    S'up Aquos76!
    S'up Sully!

Definitely won't be attending myself, but great for Waterford that such gigs are taking place and drawing the punters in.

Seems a bit late in the year for an outdoor gig though...

    This is brilliant news.
Bolton St definitely seems to be a viable venue that some of the bigger acts can play.
Jedward aren't my cup of tea but they can definitely draw a crowd.

At least Waterford now has some kinda dedicated outdoor music venue. Granted, it's just a car park, but at least it's something.

its great that theres a bit of entertainment been organised and a venue for it but cant see anything in the planning act that enables councils to charge into a public carpark any more than the hourly rate per vehicle....

The councils arnt charging. The organiser hires the car park for a private function and they charge.
