Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I manged to lose the bottom cover of my right shifter. Its a small plastic plate that is held on by a small screw to the bottom of the lower leaver. Not sure how I lost it but it leaves the mechanism exposed. LBS weren't too confident about getting a new one anyone any thoughts on getting a part like that?

I did the same thing on two bikes over the years! One dura ace and one 105 lever.... you're right in that the mechanics are exposed but to be honest if you just keep it clean, it makes no difference. Both levers still work perfectly...

    Edit:
go to a well known search engine and type in "Shimano 105 ST-5510 Front Cover Unit"
so I'm sure they can be got...

    There M660 10 speed

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=52335

The missing piece would be directly to the rear of the photo on that page, its a plastic cover attached to the bottom of the 2nd leaver (one that would be thumb operated). As Collumbo said its not the end of the world as long as I keep it clean.

I got this cover from Rose after breaking one but they don't seem to do any for the M660.
