Mná Mná in Galway~looking for acts.

Hi all -

Just to let you know about an opportunity.

I run a monthly night in Galway, at The Crane Bar. It's called "Mná Mná - Women in Music" and is a showcase for women singers, songwriters, solo artists, musicians and bands. The only criteria is that the lead singer/front person of the band must be a woman. Boys are of course welcome (my band is all lads, for example!).

Original music is preferred, but a few covers here and there are okay too. We showcase three acts each month, every third Thursday.

The gig is vetted and is paid (we charge a fiver in, which is divided equally among the acts). This gig is invite only - it is not an open mic, although in the future we might have an open mic slot, there isn't the space for that right now. So far we have been getting a great response, and every month it's growing more and more popular!
