Chris went to the British No Gi open (very early flight having competed and won in Grapplepalooza) and, according to Ais Daly, "blew through the brown/black in his own weight class & absolute but due to some Gracie Barra politics he had to give a walk over to a senior grade from his (Braulio's) club".

So best in the UK & Ireland now I guess! :)

Pretty incredible job... Really speaks to his quality.

And Darragh's too actually considering how much weight he was giving up.

I heard he was on a plane to England 4 hours after Grapplepalooza :), and I know what happened as far as the politics are concerned, Chris is too nice for his own good and I wouldn't have done what he did but oh well .

Dont suppose you have a link to where Aish Daly posted that ?

can dasmoose give us a break down of bowe's rubber guard stuff? is it effective? did he get much worth out of it in comp?

I'll have a look through the footage and see, his game was mostly about top position tbh.

You can see for yourself in the next few days as we upload everything.

    Some things I noticed:

I initially thought Chris Bowe was winning just because of his gargantuan strength but looking back his technique really is great aswell.

The wrestlers really didn't like going to ground and appeared well outclassed which is a pity.

Richard Gorey has the funniest run to the mat in history.

Easy to criticise from the sidelines.

Don't worry i was never having a dig at wrestling. Was just saying the two lads that happened to be wrestlers.... yadda yadda. I heard Grisham cleaned house in the comp earlier in the day alright and when I heard Tom King was gonna be up against him I it would make for interesting rolling but Tom didn't allow him the chance for a takedown though which was a good gameplan.
