Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Woofer not working

I'm having a problem with my Sony STRDE875 receiver. The woofer doesn't work when it's receiving a digital signal. I have an Xbox, DVD and Sky connected, all with optical cables. For example, when I have a channel on Sky on that's not broadcasting in Digital the woofer works fine but when I change to a channel that's broadcasting in digital the woofer doesn't work.

When I have the Xbox and DVD connected all the audio channels work except the woofer and if I do a test on the receiver the woofer works perfect.
    Any ideas?

OK I have solved this problem, and just for people with the same problem who are searching for answers the problem was that my surround speakers were set to "Large" and should have been "small" as when it's set that way the bass bypasses the woofer and directs it to the speakers.
