Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I have recently moved into a house, it has a GSHP - NIBE 1220 installed.

We have having difficulty in making it heat the water up, it is doing so - buts its just not hot enough.

I have d/l the manual from Nibe, but i dont really understand it all.

    Menu 1.1 Periodtime HW/Total
    Menu 1.2 Time Period
    Menu 1.3 Max time HW-period
    Menu 1.4 HW-temp/Starttemp.Hw
    Menu 1.5 HW-temp/Stoptemp.Hw

The above are the controls I can adjust, but i dont really understand what they are telling me.

Anyone know the optimum for hot water without using the XHW immersion....

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    Menu 1.1 Periodtime HW/Total 20(60) mins
    Menu 1.2 Time Period 60
    Menu 1.3 Max time HW-period 20
    Menu 1.4 HW-temp/Starttemp.Hw - ??(46) degrees
    Menu 1.5 HW-temp/Stoptemp.Hw - ??(52) degrees

In 1.4 and 1.5 the temperature in the brackets is the desired start and stop temps, outside the bracket is the temp in the outer jacket of the hot water tank.

There is also a service menu with further hot water settings but you should not be required to alter them.

Other Factors to consider when not getting enough hot water from your 1220

    - air in the outer jacket of the tank, see air vent on top of heat pump, front left, vent this until water comes out (note you will need pressure in the system to do this)

    - condition of 3 port valve, this maybe passing to the heating side and if this is the case then it maybe needed to be replaced.

    Hope this helps.
