Need some help!

Hey guys, got my parts today but just realized that the optical drive I was planning on using, uses an IDE ribbon cable. Any way to connect this to a modern MoBo?
If not, is there any way I can install Windows from the disk through this laptop?

I have no experience with IDE however most motherboards nowadays come with a IDE cable and IDE connector.

You can also get a windows 7 ISO and make a bootable flash drive *You will need a 4GB flash drive (or bigger) to do this*

Would you believe that I just found that before I read this? Thanks for the reply, it's in the process of ripping the file to ISO.
