Upgrade

Thinking of upgrading my cpu and gpu but to be honest looking to spend as little as possible, specs are below

AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition
Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3
MSI 770-C45, Socket-AM3
Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 4GB KIT
Corsair Powersupply 550W

For the graphics card I'm thinking either the 6850 or the 6870 just undecided if i should pay the extra for the 6870. Is the 6870 that much better?

As for the cpu its either a phenom x4 or x6, from a quick look online it seems that the x4 would be better for gaming etc. But would a phenom x4 955 or 965 be that much of an improvement on what I have?

What do you's think or recommend?

neither, they are both very expensive and give very bad support.

I would buy this because of the free shipping.

Doesn't look like the XFX qualifies for free delivery and the Sapphire is more expensive on overclockers, works out about €175 but its €161 on komplett and €150 on pixmania minus delivery. And I'm not too bothered about the free games.

Thats why its between komplett and pixmania

Its coming in at €168 at the checkout prob to do with amazons exchange rate.

The XFX was a free ship item when I posted but there was only a few left, obviously they sold out and now they are selling them from the other sellers.

I still wouldnt go with pixmania or komplett, had nothing but trouble with both and I am sure others will agree. Also I didn't include the sapphire one on pixmania because it is discontinued there. Komplett do free delivery but I still wouldn't trust them, There RMA is a joke.

I have ordered from .de before. Takes about 2 days longer to ship but all was fine other then that. I find if I order on a Monday, then it will be with me the following Monday.

Still I would go with the overclockers one, comes to about 173 euro including shipping and you get the 2 games aswell. Aswell as that the shipping is 2 day delivery I believe.

That's the best deal yet, comes with deus ex aswell

About to order the XFX 6870 but it doesnt come with any cables or anything, at the moment im using vga to connect my monitor and 4850. My monitor has both vga and dvi-d so would the following cable be ok to connect the 6870 to my monitor?
