Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Feeding weanling bulls

Hi all, I have a couple of weanling Charolais pedigree bulls going to feed over the winter and maybe sell in April/May. These are the first ones I'm breeding so any advice what to feed them up to Christmas. Have seen on other posts that Showbiz Turbo is very popular but dont want to hit them with this until closer to sale, maybe in the new year. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking a 16% protein ration to put a bit more frame on them and help their growth, they are already getting a ration through a creep feeder along with a batch of other calves so not sure how much they're actually eating. how much should I be building them up to. They'll also be on the silage. They're about 9 months old now.
    Thanks in advance.

you have 4 to 5 months from christmas on to push them and since there gonna go straight out with cows you dont want tubs of lard, showbiz turbo or any other of the pedigree rations are fine but remember your paynig for the bag as well as the content ... any ordinary beef ration should carry them through the next few months at lower cost
