How could the ref know that the Dundalk player had a head injury or not. Looked like he went down holding his head. All we can ask from referees is consistency as then it's an equal playing field for both teams. If the game is stopped for what appears to be a head injury once, it should be stopped all the time.

There was no impact with his head and he landed on his shoulder, side-on to the referee, so Winter knew his head was ok.

About 10:30, McHugh thinks it was a definite penalty..

Like I said I'm only going on first viewing. Seems that a few players have said that Quigley's was a penalty also.

Highlights should be on Dundalk's website tonight so will view then. Hopefully it shows the Dundalk player being dragged down at the edge of the box as that was the worst decision of the night.
If Winter was correct with his decisions I'll hold my hands up and admit I was wrong.

Well deserved too. Finn was outstanding and Rovers' intensity was great to see in comparison to previous games against UCD. They couldn't live with it...still, glad Billy or McCabe wasn't on the spot in Belgrade... :pac:

He scored against them in the league a few weeks ago too.

    Keep up. :)

Scored in Setanta Cup Final as well so think it's 3. Could be wrong.

I think he scored up in Dundalk in the League Cup/Something Else Cup just before the season started?

Ugh - seems Finn Harps fielded a suspended player against Monaghan Saturday, so Monaghan are apparently being awarded the 3 points while Harps are being docked their point.

I thought the rukle was the offending team gets docked, but the other team remain the same.

What a joke of a league.

    It's grand.

John Delaney threw his tie into the crowd over in Mosocw and bought the Rovers supporters beer in Belgrade.

    Top man.
