Oh dear McDowell bogeyed the 17th and may need an eagle on the 18th, and there have been plenty of them.

In fairness to Donald, he probably does deserve to be up there at #1 in the World at the moment. It seems like he's in contention every week. 163th on Tour in Driving distance and it doesn't hold him back at all. Crazy to think though he's considered a short hitter with an average distance of 282 yards. My carry distance is around 260. It does make you feel a bit inadequate!

Jeez, Luke made a balls of that hole, 2 poor chips from green side contributing to a double bogey

I'd imagine Padraig is looking forward to a break now after the last few weeks efforts. Signs of improvement albeit slowly.

Tourney won by Webb Simpson in a playoff (birdie on 2nd hole) against Chaz Reavie ( Reavie jumps from 87 to 9 on the FedEx cup atandings).

Positives for Harrington, a new coach will get things right for him, hopefully.

Pity Greame missed out, but Ernie snuck in to the top 70 for the BMW.

Did'nt see the end of tv coverage but presume Simpson again thanked 'the Good Lord for guiding him around the course'.........
Smashing golfer but a God bothering pain in the ass.........

I felt for Reavie least night. He played the back 9 beautifully making some ridiculous putts and really deserved the win. One bad shot on 18 cost him. It took 2 seriously impressive putts on the 18th for Simpson to just stay with him.

True enough... we're clutching at straws tho.

anyhoo... theres very little point in him hitting form at this time of year ( with all due respect to the hugely significant fed ex cup ). he's better off going into the break with signs of improvement and coming out the other side nicely primed to progress his form thru to april.

Didn't see much of PH during the Sky coverage. Just managed to see a couple of shots towards the end of Round 1. He looked completely knackered.

I think between the Wyndham, Barclays and opening round of the Deutsche Bank he had 8 rounds in a row in the 60s. High 60s but still the 60s :). Also looks like he is starting to get his long game together a bit better than before.

Not bad shooting and bodes well for 2012. Needs to take a bit of a break and then come back fresh and care free.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he came back with a new face on the bag either. Would be less of a news story if he made the change during the off season.
