RTE's Nationwide featured a report on O'Connor's Bakery this evening. O'Connor's have been in business in Ennis since 1961 and through the years they have expanded their business to include stores in Limerick, Gort, Galway etc.

The O'Connor's are a lovely family and they appear to be very good employers too. It is great to see a family business go from strength to strength :)

Aaaah, the cream rolls...:o I owe them a few pounds on the hips but hey, a few culinary orgasms as well. So who cares... :D

When I moved to Ennis ages ago and discovered O'Connor's it was so wonderfully oldfashioned I thought I found childhood heaven (even if I'm not Irish) - but you know, honest old bakery stuff is universal.

And the most amazing thing is, that they still have these awfully deadly delicious things. Nothing fashionable, just the right stuff to get the comfort you need when times get tough.

    I hope they'll stay forever!

Disgusted I missed this, thanks for the reminder Mrs.

Title edited to reflect 50 instead of 40 years in business
