Seems like he could have some sort of agenda (shock....horror)
Sounds like he is trying to set up some sort of 'only a certain brand of frame can be ridden at UCI events'

He would be better off trying to make the races themselves safer....daredevil descents in the giro, errant journo cars in the tour....

I think he's right. Remember during the tour when Johnny Hoogerland's bike "hopped" off the road entirely of its own accord? Or when Cadel Evans' bike literally disintegrated on the Champs Elysees, handing the tour to Andy Schleck?

Wait, did that happen here or was it the planet McQuaid is living on?
