Is it true that Apple won a law suit? I heard that there was a law suit alright cause Samsung copied there design.

Apple won a law suit, but it wasn't the one they wanted to win.

Essentially, the Judge in Holland said that all of the patent and design infringement complaints raised by Apple against Samsung were unlikely to be upheld in a full trial. He did find that the way the media gallery app worked did violate an Apple patent, and placed a ban.

Samsung is rapidly changing the gallery app so it doesn't violate the patent so it is unlikely the ban will actually have a real effect because the app will probably be fixed by the time the ban takes effect so Samsung will likely continue distributing their products.
