Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Taking bike on DART

This is probably a long shot, but I was thinking of taking my bike on the DART tomorrow (Sunday 4th) around 6.30pm. or so, going from North Dublin to South Dublin through the city centre.

I know generally bikes can be put on DARTS free of charge on Sundays, as per this page, but it clearly says "Bikes will be carried free of charge on DART and Commuter services (including Dublin commuter and Cork commuter services) between 10.00hrs and 15.30hrs, and after 19.00hrs, Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday (excluding times of major fixtures / concerts and similar events at Aviva / Croke Park)."
The All Ireland Hurling final is on tomorrow, so will this mean I won't be able to take my bike onto the DART? Or will I be able to take it, but after a certain time?

I note this page doesn't mention anything about Croke Park games - I might print a copy just in case station staff object, although I could be clutching at straws!

You'll be grand. :) I've taken my bike on outside peak times quite a bit.

Thank you, good to hear! Do you just walk through the barriers at the station and onto the train, or do you need to inform a member of staff?

Also, where is the least obtrusive place to stand with your bike on the DART - just midway between the two doors, or maybe at the edge of the carraige beside the door to other carraiges?

i work for irish rail and you won't have a problem. The station probably won't be manned anyway. Standing between doors is the best place. There'll be a good few on the train tough
