Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ive just gotten a road bike and am looking to start racing.I've casually mountain biked for about 5 years and cycle every day but have never raced road bikes.I live in Co.Wicklow and am just curious as to what I need (training or equipment )to race. Also are there any open races coming up?

    Cheers,
    Rory

Join a road racing club in October/November. Train with them over winter and either you will know or they will let you know if and when you are ready to race. Bray Wheelers or Orwell are probably closest to you.
It is worth joining a club for the advise you will get and the experience of group riding.
