Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

I'd love to find a home somewhere with a bit of land for a horse or two but I have no idea where to start. I've looked on daft but couldn't really find anything. I'm sick of Dublin and I am thinking of somewhere like wexford? Somewhere near the coast.

    I suppose I'm looking for a homestead.

    Cheers

Local papers, who may or may not have an online presence would be another decent source of info.

Do you think owners would be more likely to rent or sell? I'm thinking of Meath or Wexford.

I suppose you'll need to be more focused..
Small holdings 2-6 acres round here near always go through "the local auctioneer"..

Choose a town or few possible towns you'd like to live near.. Look up the golden pages and find the local auctioneer, ring them or check their website to see what is on offer..

Then have a look on here.. http://www.irishhousehunter.com/search/
It's useful to see how long a property is on the market, how many price changes it's had... Longer on the market the more likely of a bit of leaway on the price.;)
