Hi, I got a quote for over €200 for underlay to go along with my new carpet. I got new underlay put down originally over 6 years ago. Do I really need to replace it again? Does it need to be replaced regularly along with the carpet? Tanx.

definitely worth it - will add years to the use of the new carpet

Plus it will also add a degree of warmth, accoustic insulation and also dampen down the noise of little feet jumping around the place.

Thanks for the replies. I went for the Underlay but went to different place and got everything all in €100 cheaper!
