New Gaming Rig

Hey all, looking to build a new gaming rig that'll play anything I throw at it at fairly high settings. I've got a few things sussed out but I'd need help with getting a case and PSU and such too. How's this build looking so far? Budget can go as far as around €700 but I can push it a bit more if the price is right. Don't need a monitor or OS either.

Your RAM is triple channel, you just need 2 sticks, either 2 x 2GB or 2 x 4GB is the most popular.

If you stick up a budget you'll get more help but you're off to a good start.

I would probably swap the motherboard though but that's more of a personal thing. AsRock motherboards are frequently recommended on here but I have a thing for Gigabyte myself.

Edit: Sorry, your budget is 700, you'll get a lovely PC for that.

That's a fairly cheap case - still good but you might like the look of something better. Browse through the cases - you might see something that you like. A quick search will usually let you know if it has good features and airflow.

Does the 6950 outperform the 560ti? If so I don't mind spending the extra cash. Also, I don't need an OS. Have that sorted.

Two very nice builds to choose from. Heres a comparison between the 2 cards. Don't skimp on the case, again it's down to personal preference with some cases being quieter and others being cooler.

I've revised my budget and I can spend a solid €750 on the whole thing itself, not taking into account an OS which I'll have seperately later on.

Should I rethink anything given the new, revised figure?

No, you don't need a sound card, but card but get a better motherboard - one with the P67 or Z68 chipsets which will allow you to overclock.

I'm really torn on what graphics card to pick up. Also, if I got this case, would there be any need for me to buy a separate fan?

The 6950 is on average a little better but not worth €24 of a difference, I think.

The case seems to ok reviews. Main complaints are poor cable management features and not enough screwless elements. Overall it seems to be a well finished case. 3 fans should be enough and you can always add or replace them later.

Read good reviews on this case and it has a good price, and I was thinking of getting this card. Should that finish it? Also, what does the site mean when there's yellow bars in terms of availability and it saying "one piece". Does it mean there's only one left?

Thank you! Been up since 7 this morning trying to decide on a card and I think I found it! Also, as per Monotype's comment earlier I'd like to get a better motherboard. Help me pick guys? Preferably something good for under €100 since I'm a tad overbudget.

The motherboards that Burgo and Monotype suggested are less than 100 euro. I'd also go for the Fractal Core 3000 case that Burgo listed.

Any of you have any experience with their payment options? I wanted to go with Paypal but it's charging me 3% of the basket total at the end.
