    Hi Folks,

I'm interested in the Sony KDL-32CX523 and would ideally like to purchase from yourselves.

Sony Ireland are currently running a promotion offering a free 5 year warranty and the model above is included. I spoke with them yesterday and the warranty covers customers in the south purchasing north of the border.

What I need to know is, are RS a 'participating store' in the Sony promotion?

I was wondering about that myself as well as I seen a Sony here in Galway advertising the 5 year warranty as well.

Or does it allow you to sell the television at a lower price if you are just offering a standard 1 year, as adding the 5 year to yours seems to increase the price by 10%

    Guys,

apologies for the delay getting back to you both.

That TV has a one year warranty with our promotion - the promo offers £20 off a Sony Blu-Ray player or £40 off a Sony PVR when purchased at the same time - if you want the 5 year then it would cost an additional £34.95.

Keep me posted and again apologies for the delay getting back to you.

    Thanks John.

Spoke with Dave this afternoon and unfortunately a price-match wasn't possible, as the deal below was offering a 3yr warranty as opposed to 5.

    Mark,

thanks for the post - on most Sony TV's at the moment that we sell we are offering a standard 12 months warranty - as ever you can extend this to 5 years for 10% of the purchase price.

If there are any specific models we can assist with please don't hesitate to drop me a line and we will do our best to assist,
