Starting MA, is this enough to teach ?

Ok I'll be as concise and exact as I can, but any advice welcome. I'm due to start my MA in a couple of weeks in the NCAD. I have no BA but a diploma from a private college. I have been teaching at this private college for 5 years part time and gained valuable teaching experience.
I've been told that it was this experience which swung my acceptance onto the MA.
I have in addition two post grads from two UK colleges.
My field is specific (fashion) with plenty of industry experience.

It has however lately come to my attention that the Teaching Council regulations state I need a teaching qualification.

My MA is two years part time and I am open to following it with a pHD.

At what point in the course of my studies would I be able to progress to teach in a mainstream college ?

Are you talking about third level or second level teaching/lecturing?

None of the qualifications you mention will qualify you for teaching at second level in Ireland. If you're speaking about third level, you don't need a teaching qualification, and the Teaching Council are in no way involved.

Yes thank you. My intention is for third level. However in the interim whilst studying I had thought of aiming myself at FETAC level post leaving cert courses. I contacted some of the principals of such colleges who suggested I apply to put myself on the panel of part time teachers with the VEC. It was whilst investigating this that I came across the requirement of teaching qualifications.
Is anyone aware of the need for teaching qualifications for FETAC post leaving certificate courses ?
Apologies if my questions are naive as this is a new area for me.
