    I wouldn't spend 18k on a C6, even though they are a smashing car.

    If you like that sort of thing, the C5 is a smashing looking car and if you get a 2.0 then it would be a brilliant car for a long spin every week.

    Mondeo, Passat etc are fine cars and designed for long spins.

    Go to England also. Something like this

    OP, I'd be looking at a Legacy diesel maybe. Very hard to find though.
