Apple Jam Making

Anyone out there have an idea about using eating apples instead of cooking apples in jam making? The use of lemon juice seems to be needed but I haven't a clue how much. Any ideas much appreciated. Vic.

Sorry, I have a recipe for Apple Jam, I just want to know how much lemon, if any, is needed when using eating apples instead of cooking apples.
