Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Whats the best set up for watching sports, SkyHD and a 100Hz LCD?

    A good plasma screen would cope with motion better than any LCD.

    They are much heavier, use more electricity and if you play a huge amount of video games then they can suffer burn in, eg if you paused a game for hours and hours it would ghost the image into the screen.

    They handle motion better and the black levels are far superior to anything an lcd can do.
    They are being slowly fazed out because manufacturers are going for lcd because the market wants cheaper tv's (lcds are cheaper to make) thus you can now get some plasmas for very good value around the place. DID elecrical have nice ones.

    Why?
    The guarantee will still be valid.

    They are a niche product now and would only really be bought by AV enthusiasts the companies lose money on them, hence them fazing them out.Add to that the fact they eat electricity compared to LCDs, they aren't exactly environmentally friendly.

    The best TV money can buy is the Pioneer Kuro and that was discontinued last year.

    Which brands have a good warranty.

    These flatscreen monitors LCD or Plasma seem to fail a lot faster than the old CRT's.

    Im not sure, I would imagine they are all about the same. Panasonic would be a quality brand though.
