can't log into router

    Hi, I'm having trouble logging into my router with the eircom password broadband1
    Any reason for this? It just clears the dots after I enter it, I have correct spelling.

    yes spelling correct, full settings are.

    Basic Modem Config:
    Username: eircom@eircom.net
    Password: broadband1
    Encapsulation: PPPoE
    Multiplexing: LLC Based
    VPI: 8
    VCI: 35
