Def going - we'll come over and say hello to you!! :D Last year we were meant to be in the canine games with DTI but my poor baba had cut his paw so couldn't join in and we couldn't stay too long :( He got LOADS of cuddles from people thou - aww what happened to him and he loved it!! Then when we were leaving he stepped in a puddle and we had to go home and go to the vets and get the bandage changed - he was asleep on the floor in the vets worn out lol :D

I've already started my to-do list
1 - Come and say hello to andrea, our DTI friends and anyone else from API we can find :D
2 - Get cheap vet bed for our new crate and the back of the car
3 - Get a new Burns measuring cup and freebies off them :D
4 - Try on a posh backpack if Country Hounds have them - not me the dog :D
5 - Take pics of anything cool like hens, the owl and eagle if they're there again, monkey things if they're there too
6 - Get loads of free stuff - even if he doesn't eat it I'm going to take it and then donate it ;)

Should try and organise a meet up of all the posters who are going:D, ie try to be about on Sunday about 2pm ish..

I don't know how our new rescue would cope with crowds, He's great now in our home and garden and going for walks locally, but a big trip to Dublin in a different and loud environment might be a bit much for him.

Coco on the other hand would relish the opportunity to meet people and new furry friends.:)

I think I might go this year too, didn't go last year so said I'd try and make it this year. Won't be bringing the four-legged terror though, dogs, cats, sheep, horses, hens I think he'd pass out with the excitement and not know what to bark at!

Pet-Expo is a really good way for Rescue Dogs in Foster ( that are well socialised ) to get some exposure. I remember 2 yrs ago there was a FAB Greyhound with something along the lines of " Foster Dog Looking for Home" painted onto the side of his jacket & there were tons of people who approached his owner about it.

Yep, I will be bringing a gorgeous 10 month old lurcher pup who is looking for a home. He will be wearing his 'I Need a Home' vest and a dickie bow :D

Since this actually seems to be one of my only free weekends til November, I'm definately gonna go! :) Won't be bringing my dog though, she'd freak at the amount of people.

LOVE rotties, so I'll be popping over to say hi andreac :D

Going to try gather as much free stuff as possible too... hehe

Are you doing both days?? Great to see the the Rotties getting represented, don't think I've seen them in the Breed Village before. I'll be going but I'm not sure which day, will have to stop by and say hello :)

    Yep, im there both days:)

The breed village is fairly new, think last year there was only a handful or breeds.
The Pedigree Dogs website has got a lot of the breeds on board this year through the shows etc. He wanted a lot of the Restricted Breeds represented to highlight them and let the public get their hands on these breeds and see exactly what they are like, ie Not vicious child killers :D

I have 3 American Eskimo Dogs one with an AKC junior championship, all came home from US. not registered breed in IRL but very similar to German Spitz mittle, Klein all white. Who decides what breeds can take part on the breed village? Can you just show up? Thanks!!

There's a contact us page on the website. I would imagine you would need to make arrangements in advance to take part in the breed village. You could also contact pedigreedogs.ie who have organised a lot of this.

Sorry but as far as i know the entry is closed now, but if you contact Paul Barry from Pedigreedogs.ie he might be able to help you as he is organising all the breeds for the breed village.

You can bring your dogs along anyway to the pet expo but you might not get into the breed village.
