The defence finished the game very solid.
Really impressed with Adebayor's strength, movement and link-up play.
Lovely little triangles with Luka, Parker, Bale, BAE.
Could be a big year for Gio too;)

    As did I :D

That is a huge win, not everyone is going to take 3 points off wolves so I'm delighted. two of our hardest games this season are over and we have a strong away win. If we had beaten everton first day it wouldnt be a bad start. now please let's stuff liverpool.

2 goals, clean sheet, super result away to a confident Wolves side. On another note, Woodgate missed out for Stoke today with injury, interesting to see how many games he will miss.

I wish him all the best at Stoke. He had a tough time at Spurs and we were right to get rid of him - we can't afford to have two CBs that are so injury prone.

Delighted with todays result. We typically struggle at Molineux and not too many teams will take three points away from there this season. A good spanking of Liverpool next up will do nicely!

Delighted with the result. Didn't see the game, but love this bit from the BBC's review of the game
....while Luka Modric was excellent for Tottenham, showing no signs of sulking following the collapse of his move to Chelsea.

The Croat's performance, in fact, was matched only by debutant Parker, the England international providing a notable step up in work-rate and tenacity to the Tottenham midfield

Looking forward to seeing the highlights tonight.

Great result! A clean sheet that can only be put down to the fact that Ledley played. The guy brings a different class when he plays and that affects the players massively. The goals were very well worked and two great finishes by Ade and Defoe. I think the massive positive from the game is the Modric - Parker midfield. They were just class, played off one another very well. 9 first team regulars out and we still have a very strong side on the park. Hopefully this is the kickstart to a massive season.

    some very good signs today

defoe put in a great performance, especially as he usually goes missing in away games. he seems to gel very well with adebayour and they will be a real handful.

modric had a good game but was out shone by parker. parker lost the ball once or twice and tracked back and harrid until he won it back and then charged up the field on runs. he will be a great player for us - well worth the money

friedal with another world class save in the first half - will have a great season also

gio looks like he will get a chance also this season, its a bit strange but he looked lively today. he will prob play the full game thurs night so that should be good for him.

pav will prob be a cup player for us too - he has been shocking this season when he got a change - especially in hte cup game against the scots at white hart lane.

very positive day really - we should be well able for the pool next weekend and should beat arsenal as well - they were hopeless today

Most importantly, if JD & Ade kick off over the next 4 weeks what do we do with VDV?

i'd nearly flog him for a nice profit in Jan;)

Well whatever happens, I hope Harry has the balls to keep the in form pairing together, if that's what they turn in to. You'd imagine they'd work well together.

Let him fight for his place like anyone else..

Le tissier make a good comment today. He said we r better off without vdv cos he dips too deep and dosent be in the box when he should b. Thus also causes modric to have less space in midfield cos vdv is getting in his way. I agree, better without him

    Totally agree with LeTissier.
Van De Vaart is a class player its just fitting him in the team.

Happy with the win 3 points v Liverpool could go a long way. Sandro starts training this week to. Hopefully Adebayor can score 20+ and if Defoe can hit 15 which he should but probably won't we could be very well set. Pity we are so far behind City and United though although I think the gap is largely a tactical one.
