A well deserved win for COYW this week, he had me on the rails early on and I only barely managed to scrape 4 wins through Henrik Lundqvist really. Had a pretty good total by the end of the week but was still quite a bit behind in most skating categories in the end. Luckily neither of the other two teams managed to capitalise, though I'll need to improve if I'm to win my matchup this week. Time to start planning for the playoffs too.

Will hopefully get to throw up some up-to-date stats this evening.

My lads all performed last week, my 3 goal tenders were all on fire and I even benched a shutout or two. Hopefully after a few rough weeks from them they will maintain their form.

Delighted with the win over MrJoeSoap. It was a good contest. I'm doing well on my skating categories but my goaltending is killing me. Made a change there for the upcoming week. I am hoping for a strong finish to the season for the Islanders, so I brought in Nabokov.

Please move it back, this thread will die in that forum. This time tomorrow it will be right at the bottom. We want to grow and this forum is not the right place for that.

I can't move it back but it's fair to say there hadn't been too much activity in the thread before tonight anyway (a post every three days or so in the past month). I thought putting it somewhere with more activity would generate more interest in it.

But if others want it moved back I'll request the mods here to move it.

I think its better to have it in the hockey forum since its only one thread. I can see the thread (although it has moved status) in the Hockey forum, will it stay there long as I dont mind if I access the thread from here.

I was away the last 2 weeks and I see my teams performance has nosedived :(

It'll stay there once there aren't a spate of new threads to push it down, not usually an issue in the Hockey forum!

    I'm with Malachy on this.
The sports forum was only introduced for teh Premier League stuff as they open loads of threads.
Ours is just a way of discussing our league which is small community.
Most of those guys aren't in the same league, it's a resource forum for them.

If the object of the game is to pick players who cannot score, assist or to let 3 or more goals a game I would be unbeatable this week!

Its a very strange week for results in the NHL.

EDIT - Jordan Staal picked up 3 points against Tampa so all may not be lost.

Losing a pretty important 3rd choice goalie with the playoffs less than two weeks away is far from ideal, especially when there is little available in terms of a replacement. I would go with Schneider but Vancouver will probably be using Luongo as much as possible down the stretch.

PS - This week is crucial for the battle for fourth spot, you don't want to be leaving it until the last minute. Chara's Inner Demon are the form team over the past four weeks, but the Flaming A-Holes have had to play the top two in the past two weeks and now have the bottom two to finish off the season, with a seven point advantage to boot. Should be an interesting couple of weeks. Best of luck to all.

You got Lundqvist so you will be alright ;) Your right on there been a thin waiver wire for goalie pickups. One bad add and you blow your GAA and SV% for the week. Howard is DTD for me, hopefully he aint out too long or I'll need 3 starts from Rinne this week. I dont have much room to maneuver either with Toews DTD aswell.

I seen your post on Crosby. I picked him up in the hope he may be back for our playoffs so if he makes it back in the next fortnight then it was a good move.

Yea, I was surprised he fell to me as I didn't have that high a waiver priority...

Crosby won't get his game ;-)

    Penguins are too balanced now....

We'll see next week. I have reluctantly cleared a place for him in my roster...

Well at least after the previous comeback you know he's not the kind of guy who gathers dust.

Nothing new there. That would be "cena".

Hopefully next season we'll have a fully active 12 players.

A really encouraging 11-0 win to clinch the regular season. Milan Michalek might turn out to be my pick-up of the season, he scored well in every category this week.
