Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Tubridy Tonight element of the show...LLS should have been a protected structure when it was handed over to Tubridy. When Kenny took it off Byrne there wasn't a mark on it when Tubridy was given it. They need to bring back the antiques repair and entrapeneur slots.

I can only guess what the backstage conversation is like.

"How many people have you killed?"
    "Ronnie: 7 people."
"I was asking the Libyan guy!?"
    "Ronnie: ...........oops."

Could I get a job in that band, I'm sure they could do with another member, I can hum & click my fingers & I'll only charge €1000 a night.

The episode where Nana dies is so moving and the other one I love is when Denise went into labour in the bathroom with Jim.

I always feel sorry for that poor fella. That was some smack.

Yes. Someone falling over himself while trying to be flashy, eg. a soccer player => potentially funny.

A man just going about his business slamming hard on concrete => not funny.

I don't mean to be judgemental or anything, maybe it was a little amusing, but not funny like how Tubridy and yer one in the audience were.

It's no fun slamming down on ice like that. Huge amounts of elderly people die as a result of head injuries from falls like that every year.

Why any Irish woman would willingly be a member of a religion that dictates that they have to dress head to toe in a black chador I'll never understand.
Why would you submit yourself to such restrictive dress?

The day male moslems submit themselves to such restrictive practices is the day I'll stop believing it's just a cultural practice to restrict the rights and autonomy of women.

    I think it's a backward, regressive religion.
Not that I have time for any other religions...

    +1

I can't help but feel these women have made a huge compromise and the sad thing is they are oblivious to it.

I don't think I've ever felt more uncomfortable watching LLS, and that's saying something!

Shades of Kenny Williams and his own mum about it.

On this; how did this joyless anodyne git get on a relatively well known comedy actress of many years standing, and end up getting her to talk about the death of her mother?

    Christ.

Yeah, was there anyone in Liverpool who wasn't there ?:)

I read some extracts from her book in one of the papers a few weeks back,

It was quite interesting, actually, probably a decent read.

Well, I'll hold my hands up, Tubridy didn't mention The Beatles, although he probably should have in this case, she has some good stories about them.

He is probably deliberately avoiding his pet subjects after his recent criticism in the press.
