It almost seems like the best guests are being kept to last, and the proceedings are over rather quickly.

The LLS these days is something akin to watching Sex and The City, you have to sit through endless depressing dross to get to the good stuff, and it's all over in what seems like seconds, leaving one with a strong sense of anti-climax.
