Davis Vantage Stations - Comparison

I'm thinking of upgrading to a Davis weather station.

I like the idea of the VP2 Pro as I could add on extra sensors over time, but the Vantage Vue seems like better value for money ( and the budget is tight )

Anyone else got an opinion why I should go for the more expensive VP2, are they really worth the money compared to the Vue?

Am I correct in thinking that the sensors on all Davis Models are the same and all are just as accurate and update as often?

    Thanks

It depends what you want to do.

The VP2 is more accurate and as you stated you can add onto it.

I am going to get the VP2 as in time I want to add the soil moisture and temperature station to it, as I am farming that information - specific to my area will be useful.

Nothing wrong with either but it depends what you want to do
