    newbie in this thread however,

I have to say a HUGE well done to all who have their Christmas lights and decorations up on exiting the city toward Kerry.

After leaving the bustle and traffic of the city, to see these beautifully decorated houses whilst coming home today was just lovely.

Well done and Thanks for brightening up my journey home anyways :)

Yeah my estate is like a skating rink - hope it doesn't get more icey than that because the car wasn't getting much grip this morning

Was walking down past the river lee hotel on western road going to washinton street and the footpath on the right hand side of the road was like an ice rink, had to cross over to the other which wasn't as bad.

That footpath is always very bad around this time of year - remember well from when I was in college - especially the part by Finbarrs bridge where the path inclines a bit, then when you cross the road it descends down again - seen so many people buckle themselves there!

    I absolutely hate that bit.
It's always worth crossing the road to north side - it's less icy once there's any sun up at all.
