Ticket booths are ridiculous. The one in merchants quay in cork doesn't accept ticketmaster gift cards. It's the most retarded system

    2 quick questions

    1) Can anyone remember from last year if there was much actual food to eat at this new 'theatre of food' (http://electricpicnic.ie/food) in the Mindfield area? Is there free samples or do you just get to watch and hear some lad harp on?

    2) What exit would have the most amount, or any taxis between 1am-4am? There's hardly a rank, is there?! I'm guessing lined up on Stradbally mainstreet but not sure.

Anyone in campervans? is it a different exit off the motorway to make it to the timahoe road? I cam around artist entrance a few years ago and know that the traffic was better since we werent heading for the regular car park, so would I be as well off doing that route again?

Posting up a list of things to bring to remind others (and myself) in case they've forgotten anything.

So if you think I've forgotten anything, feel free to remind me!Thanks

    Tent
    Sleeping bag
    Spare clothes (esp spare socks)
    Wellies/hiking boots
    Bog roll
    Wipes and hand-wash
    Toothbrush and toothpaste
    Torch
Sun hat, suncream, sunglasses (being optimistic)
    Rain -coat/poncho (being pessimistic)
    Food and drink
    Wallet + i.d
    Phone
    Timetable print out

    Think that's pretty much everything!

Knew I forgot something, thanks! Yup, plastic bags are always handy!

What's the duct tape for though? Suppose it's handy enough in that you can use it for anything and everything really!

Also looking at the map of the camping area, is the quiet camp just a section of the Andy Warhol one?

Is there signs or any indication at all saying it's the quiet campsite?

Or is it just an invisible line or something? :S

Question: how long is the walk from where the bus drops people to say the jimi hendrix campsite? trying to decide if I can realistically carry my rucksack...

I'm sure this has been asked already but I am just wondering what the situation is with day ticket holders bringing alcohol in on the Sunday? Is it allowed at all?

Or if I give my alcohol to my friends who are camping for the weekend, are day ticket holders allowed into the campsite on the Sunday?

Wouldn't bother with the padlock; makes it look like you've something valuable in there worth taking. And if some scumbag is gonna rob your tent a lock won't deter them when they can just cut through it.

Yeah it does look more dodge with one its like homer whebn he was gona take his number off his door to avoid the postman... She can look for the door with no number then!

Off work at 2 tomorrow and might drive directly after... Can get a lift back Monday so wondering if I shud be a bit later on the bus and lug my gear around more! Ahhh the logistics

Cant wait just to get down there and get it all set up and have a sit with a beer before the meyhem begins 8)

if you've a porch thing on the tent, put it on the inside zip so it can't be seen by people walking by.
that way if someone actually enters your tent and see the padlock, they might not bother/have anything to break/cut it, and move to another tent.
if you don't have a lock, then they'll just be able to take whatever.

i've had a lock on my tent at previous festivals and have never been robbed/tent slashed, even when friends camped beside me have had their drink/clothes taken...

Isn't there some manner of locker things this year for the inevitable people who will insist on bringing iPads and the like to the Picnic?
