They played last year, I dont understand why people have wish lists to see bands that have already played, try and keep it fresh.
it wasn't a wishlist, i was making the point that of those bands just announced for Bestival (who will likely end up at EP), DiV would be ones i would go to see, compared to others ones announced, which i don't care for.
most bands that play EP this year will have played in the last few years at some point.

The Beach Boys have announced a World Tour . They will be in Europe in August and no UK or Ireland dates announced yet

The Darkness are a good bet to be at the festival this year.

    What makes you think that?

Hope the closing of POD complex isn't a bad sign for the EPs future.

They headlined oxygen a few years ago (why?) And they were awful. Sound production was crap....

That was 2004 and they headlined because David Bowie canceled and they were already the second billing. Also yes they were rubbish mostly as they were obviously padding their material to fit the larger slot.

I'll never forget their hideous attempt at Street Spirit

    This article says.....
The Electric Picnic is now co-owned by Reynolds and Festival Republic, the company controlled by Live Nation and Pod’s local rival MCD.

I don't like the sound of MCD and electric picnic in the same sentence

why? they've been involved since 2009. if anything, it's improved since then.

why are my spidey senses thinking sinaed o'connor will be making an appearance? EP tend to have the odd dodgy act that know one really knows why they're playing...

    Bomfunk MC's
    Japanese pop stars

"The trampz" Unsigned Irish band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRWDNoeOsA4&feature=related

I hope the promoters have the "oxygenscumbagfilter" on max, it would completely change the festival if theres a s**t head 'lock ur tent/give us a can' influx:mad: ! no going back from this

I agree with the popstars and have them on at a decent time. Saturday evening at 9. Or they could open the festival but last year having them on Sunday at 3 was a nightmare for me.

Ah I hope it's not over-run with the scum-bag element. I doubt it tho, plenty of other festivals knocking around here and abroad for the young-uns to get their teeth into.

Would like to see Arctic Monkeys even though I know they're more of an Oxegen type act.

Christy Moore in one of the smaller arenas would be good. Hopefully Tommy Tiernan will pop up but I never seem to get around to the comedy acts.

Most of all just hope the weather is good and the mood is as positive as ever.

They were fairly ****e at the Brits last night. Rehearse lads ffs. They're just playing the "old hits", in the Elvis sort of way.

Edit - FAO Mods - censoring the word "s.hite"?! Seriously?!

    Bollocks.

    Arses!

as the other european festivals start to announce now, a couple of clues are coming in based on who could be at EP. At The Drive In, dave carke, macabees, and the vaccines are playing Benicassim, these could be tipped for EP.

I'd be a very happy man if they booked Refused and At the Drive-In. Are they too heavy for EP is the question.

Id love to see At The Drive In and Death From Above 1979 in this years lineup. Maybe The Cure too.
