hi, is there anywhere in ireland,, galway. but can travel. where i could buy planks of this wood. can be rough sawn. 12ft or over lengths. 1" thickness. there for a strip built row boat. thanks

Hi you can get in Abbey woods http://www.abbeywoods.ie/softwoods.htm

Might also be worth your while asking here they know their wood's and might know a place close to you.

Have you tried T O'Higgins Shantalla(091522411) I got cedar there when I built my boat but I'm not sure if it was red but it looks red
