Opinions on new Build

Folks,

Looking at putting together a Gaming PC for Xmas for the son (16) who is games mad. It needs to be well able to handle modern games especially with BF3 in mind.

Below is a build priced at €1165 assemebled at Hardwareversand.de which appears to come highly recommened as a online retailer.

Allowing for the shipping costs it is coming in at around €1200 which is my max budget. Having said that I won't be placing the order till November and the prices will hopefully reduce a little (newer graphics cards out I believe).

Any comments/ advice positive or negative would be appreciated.

Burgo's recomendations are pretty much perfect but let your son choose the case, the fractal define r3 is a good case don't get me wrong but since he is 16 he may want something abit more aggresive and gamer looking like this coolermaster case for example:

We have both done a a bit of research into the case and whilst I understand were you are coming from we are both impressed with the options that the Fractal option gives us. Great functionality with impressive cable management all together in a very nice clean looking case. As regards the other input I will certainly take all the advice on-board before placing an order. I take it that the service level/delivery times from Hardwareversand are as good as their prices.

I will need to pick up a few extra 120mm / 140mm fans for the Fractal Design R3 case. Just wondering are there any particular brands that stand out for their performance in good airflow and quiteness..

Im running noctua fans in my R3 case and replaced the 2 fractal fans with noctua aswell....
