The other thread is getting a little hard to follow with all the chat comments in there. We'll leave it for technical discussion and analysis and use this one for everything else. That way everyone will find the info they want and where they want it. ;)

Welcome all to Club X-Katia, pull up a stool, crack yourself a cold one and settle in for a bumpy nite. (just totally put the mockers on it, haven't I)

Fire on, garden furniture away. Laptop and iPhone charged. Candles and torches ready to go. Car in garage. Just waiting for our visitor to arrive.

Wonder if this will be another 911 that I will remember for years to come.

Strongest winds could be a bit further north than that but that should still be a good location. :)

I ordered one a few weeks ago, today an offer for half price insurance at $26 dollars to protect my new purchase of an anemometer ~ the one I bought [which has yet to arrive] was only $9 ~ {:)

We're leaving Maynooth at around 7:20am so it'll be a bit of race, Achill Island is the easiest location to reach, hope to be there before 10:30am. Achill Island has two prime locations for a storm like this: the Atlantic Drive and Menawn Mountain at 466m ASL.
