    Very gusty here in Galway at the moment with nice waves on Galway Bay,considering getting up very early to try get some nice pics of waves around high tide time:).

    Fire on, garden furniture away. Laptop and iPhone charged. Candles and torches ready to go. Car in garage. Just waiting for our visitor to arrive.

    Wonder if this will be another 911 that I will remember for years to come.

    :) guess thats a alot of people reason for wishing inclement weather to hit us...like excited schoolboys we all be looking out the window wishing for a fallen tree or a flooded road that makes it impossible to get to work.

    I ordered one a few weeks ago, today an offer for half price insurance at $26 dollars to protect my new purchase of an anemometer ~ the one I bought [which has yet to arrive] was only $9 ~ {:)

    Ye i was looking at that, all depends though how long it will take us .
    BUt i think we will still get some decent winds on achill island especially on the small mountain with the radio tower on it ! :)

    Heavy rain in limerick now...almost still outside though...a lot calmer than this morning.

    * dogs in :)

    fired up the generator and got some petrol in...doubt I will need it though.

    We're leaving Maynooth at around 7:20am so it'll be a bit of race, Achill Island is the easiest location to reach, hope to be there before 10:30am. Achill Island has two prime locations for a storm like this: the Atlantic Drive and Menawn Mountain at 466m ASL.
