Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Truck License question

    If I have been banned off the road and have an endorsement on a full Irish B License, and I pass the test on a C license for a truck, is the ban carried over? Technically I have a clean C license so does it matter I've been banned on a B license?

    Is the C license affected by my ban on a B license? If I was going job hunting as a driver..

    If before the ban you held both B and C categories on your license, so you are banned on both.

    If you didn't have C before you were banned, you can't get it now, because you need B category to apply for C.

    I've gotten my B license back. I havent been banned on a C license as I didn't have one, but if I apply for it will it affect my C license if I get one?

    If you have you B licence back now, I can't see the problem.

    So there wouldn't be any problem in terms of getting a driving job with a C license even though I have an endorsement on my B license then?

    The endorsment is on the entire licence and not on a category.

    But for some jobs it states that a full clean C licence is needed. Which would technically be true wouldn't it? Or has the endorsement tainted the C license too then, as Corkie mentions..

    the problem getting a job would have more to do with the number of drivers out there with expierence and no job, not the endorsment although for insurance that wont help

    You dont have a clean C,B licence until the endorsment expires.

    the endorsement is on your license not on any category. for example i have a category B license and a category C license but i actually only have one license .The way i would see it is you dont have a clean C license as you dont have a clean license.......
